ISLAMABAD: 85 districts of the country have zero government university facility, Education Minister has revealed in National Assemby (NA) on Friday in districts’ detail reports. Education Minister also presented vacant seat details in Assembly. According to details, NA session started yesterday (Friday), chaired by interim Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani with the forgiveness prayer for former Foreign Minister Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali, martyred soldiers and SHO in Peshawar. Afterward, Federal Minister of Education presented the districts’ detail report to reveal that 85 district of country are deprived of government university facility. 25 districts of Balochistan, 6 from KPK, 19 From Punjab, 16 of Sindh and 5 district of Kashmir with 7,7 districts of GB and FATA are deprived of the Government University facility. 24 districts even don’t have Higher education Institutes (HEI) campus. Minister also represented the report of 922 vacant seats of subject specialists. 693 seats of have been sent to Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for recruitment and Promotion Quota case is under process for 229 seats.
