MARDAN: Women’s Chamber of Commerce distributed 100 sewing machines among the skilled poor widows on Sunday. Deputy commissioner Habibullah Arif was chief guest at the event organized by women chamber of commerce and industry (WCCI) with the support of district administration, organized. WCCI president Aqeela Sumbal, district officers Alamgir Khan, Jahangir Khan and others participated in the event.
Addressing the event, Women’s Chamber of Commerce president, Aqeela Sambal, said that selfless service to the suffering humanity has the status of worship in the true sense. Online
She added that if the cooperation of the district administration remains like this, more programs will be organized so that skilled and poor families can get employment at home and they can earn their livelihood in a dignified way.
Majority of women in Mardan district are skilled and women’s development is one of the top priorities of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, she added, businesswomen will continue their struggle to unite women and solve their problems through the platform of Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
Addressing the event Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Arif said that the role of women is important in the construction and development of any country.
He said the government will continue to support them and will give every opportunity. At the end of the event 100 sewing machines were distributed among the poor widows.
