Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali gave directives on Tuesday to Anjuman-e-Hilal Ahmar New Merged Areas (NMAs) chapter to formulate a research based report covering the disasters occurred due to the natural calamities in the tribal belt in the last five years.
The KP Governor issued the instructions while chairing a joint meeting of KP Red Crescent Society and KP Red Crescent Society NMAs.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman Malik Habib Orkazai, KP Red Crescent Society Chairman Dr Asif, Additional Secretary to the Governor Saiful Islam and other relevant officials.
Haji Ghulam Ali also directed the humanitarian organization to extend its contacts in the society for the larger interest of the targeted communities and include influential and affluent people in its team to achieve the goals and objectives in a smooth way.
The meeting was also attended by former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Neek Zaman and former Secretary Interior Akhtar Ali Shah on a special invitation.
The chair directed the chairmans of the NAMs and KP to maintain their strong relationship and trust on a daily basis with the rich people who are equipped with the spirit of public service at domestic and foreign levels.
He maintained that disaster response organizations should be ready at all times and already have supplies available to provide relief to the public.
Ghulam Ali added that the management and governing body of KP Red Crescent should have representation from all the divisions of the province.
As a result of the representation, both organizations will be able to deliver their services to the people in a better way.
“KP government is committed to ensure all facilities and support to both organizations engaged in serving the suffering humanity in the province,” he said.
