ISLAMABAD
Election Tribunal (ET) has directed PTI leader syed Zafar Ali Shah to clear property tax dues till Monday. The petition filed against rejection of nomination papers of PTI leader Syed Zafar Ali Shah came up for hearing before Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of ET Friday.
The court remarked it is matter of property tax and two vehicles. We will hear it on Monday. Zafar Sahb you have to pay some dues of CDA.
Zafar Ali Shah said we have not been issued any notice. The department should tell us at least. It was not in our knowledge that some dues were payable by us. It was said at the time of scrutiny that your dues are clear.
It was informed by the Election Commission that there were some outstanding dues of property tax against Zafar Ali Shah.
Zafar Ali Shah told the tribunal he would clear the dues within two to three days.
The tribunal said you should clear dues till Monday if you can clear. We will hear you on Monday.
The hearing was adjourned till Monday.
