DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Newly appointed District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Nasir Mehmood on Wednesday applauded the bravery and unwavering dedication of Dera police in the war against terrorism. The district police chief stated this during his visit to Yarik police station while Superintendent of police (SP) Saddar Circle Umar Hayyat Khan was also accompanied him on this occasion, said a police spokesman. During the visit, the DPO met with the on duty staff at Yarik police station and listened to their issues. He was also briefed about the security arrangements made in view of the prevailing law and order situation in the area. On which, the DPO expressed satisfaction and said the bravery and courage of the Dera police against the menace of terrorism was admirable. He said “I am well aware of the problems being faced by the police force and all the issues would be resolved.” Later, the DPO also visited different police check posts including one at Yarik Toll Plaza.
