ISLAMABAD: Special court Islamabad has awarded death sentence to a lady Shagufta Kiran for sharing blasphemous material on social media. The court remarked the lady be hung on noose till her death. Judge Afzal Majoka of special court established under PECA act announced death sentence. Lady Shagufta Kiran has been awarded death sentence and Rs 300000 fine under 295–C of CRPC. The lady has been awarded 7 years imprisonment and Rs 100000 fine under section-11 of PECA act. PECA court said in its order that the lady be hung on noose till her death. The culprit lady however has the right to resort to Islamabad High Court against her conviction within 30 days. The court issued warrants to superintendent Adiala jail to keep the lady in jail. DNA
