CM-KP launches scholarship program for higher education

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Friday inaugurated scholarships program under the Education Foundation for students pursuing higher education in the province.
Under the program, scholarships will be awarded to 204 students based on merit and financial need, with a total allocation of Rs 20 million for the current fiscal year.
These scholarships will enable students from the province to receive free education in various universities across the country. Additionally, the Chief Minister has announced special scholarships for students from underprivileged districts, with an extra Rs 100 million in seed money, raising the total scholarship fund from Rs 300 million to Rs 400 million.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the scholarships, Ali Amin Gandapur claimed that education remained a top priority for the PTI led provincial government, which was investing substantial resources in this sector. “ The seed money for the Chief Minister Education Endowment Fund has been doubled from Rs 1.2 billion to Rs 2.4 billion,” he said and added that a separate Rs 2 billion Education Card Fund has been established to support talented and deserving students in the province.
CM Gandapur reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that no child is deprived of education due to financial constraints, emphasizing that resources will be allocated on a priority basis to support students in need.
