MARDAN
In connection with the Ashra-e-Rahmatul-lil-Alameen, a dignified and spiritual ceremony was organized in District Mardan under the auspices of the district administration.
The event aimed to highlight the noble character (Seerat) of the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa and to commemorate the 1500th anniversary of his blessed birth in a befitting manner.
As part of the celebrations, district-wide competitions in Qur’an recitation (Husn-e-Qira’at) and Na’at recitation were held among students from across the district.
The contests received widespread appreciation from the public, religious circles, and educational institutions.
Former Commissioner Syed Muhammad Javed graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Syed Fahad Iftikhar, Secretary to Commissioner Mardan Fazal Wahid, District Education Officers (male and female), and representatives from religious seminaries and clerics were also in attendance.
In the Husn-e-Qira’at competition, Mir Alam, son of Sher Ali Khan from Madrassa Tawzeeh-ul-Qur’an, Iram Colony Mardan, secured first position.
His fellow student Muhammad Rehan, son of Fazl-ur-Rehman, stood second, while Muhammad Isa, son of Maulana Zakirullah from Jamia Islamia Babuzai Katlang Mardan, secured the third position.
In the Na’at recitation competition, Aroma, daughter of Riaz Muhammad from Government Girls High School, Kundar Mardan, claimed first place.
Muhammad Hanain, son of Akbar Ali from Government High School, Takht Bhai, came second, and Urooj Asad, daughter of Asadullah from Government Girls High School, Gujarat Mardan, secured third place.
A large number of principals from male and female schools across the district, religious scholars, and students attended the event. Speakers emphasized that true success lies in following the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
