District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber, Waqar Ahmad, has said the timely completion of the under-construction police station and police post in the remote Loey Shalman area of Landikotal would strengthen law and order, improve public service and enhance the operational capacity of the police.
During a visit to Loey and Kam Shalman on Tuesday, DPO Waqar Ahmad, accompanied by Khyber Rifles commandant Colonel Saeed Ahmad and 176 Wing Commander Lieutenant Colonel Bilal Liaqat and inspected the under-construction Loey Shalman Police Station and Kam Shalman Police Post and reviewed the progress of ongoing work.
The officials were briefed on the progress, construction quality and various stages of the projects. The DPO and the commandant directed the relevant authorities to complete the schemes within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring the use of quality materials and maintaining high construction standards.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Waqar Ahmad said that, in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing quality policing services to the public and modern facilities for police personnel remains a top priority.
He added that the completion of the Loey Shalman Police Station and Kam Shalman Police Station would significantly improve security, facilitate residents and further strengthen policing in the border region.
