Acting on the directives of Mardan Traffic In-Charge Sabir Khan, a grand operation was conducted in the city’s busiest commercial areas, Shaheedan Bazaar and Khawaja Gunj Bazaar, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and address the commuting difficulties faced by citizens.
During the operation, traffic police personnel carried out a comprehensive inspection of the markets and took action against illegal parking, road obstructions, encroachments, and violations of traffic laws.
The operation was aimed at improving traffic management and ensuring a safer and more convenient environment for both motorists and pedestrians.
Traffic officials instructed shopkeepers, rickshaw drivers, motorcyclists, and other vehicle owners to strictly comply with traffic regulations.
They warned that indiscriminate action would continue against those involved in illegal parking, double parking, blocking roads, and other traffic violations. Several violators were issued warnings, while legal action was taken against others found violating the law.
Speaking on the occasion, Traffic In-Charge Sabir Khan said that maintaining the smooth flow of traffic in Mardan’s busy markets, providing safe and convenient travel for citizens, and creating a better environment for commercial activities are among the top priorities of the traffic police.
He urged the public to consider compliance with traffic rules as a shared responsibility and to refrain from illegal parking or placing obstructions on roads so that the city’s traffic system could become more organized and efficient.
Citizens and members of the business community appreciated the efforts of the traffic police and expressed hope that such operations would continue on a regular basis to help eliminate traffic congestion, irregular parking, and other transportation issues in Mardan’s busy marketplaces.
