Capital City Police Peshawar on Friday awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to police officers and personnel for tracing street crime and serious cases, confronting anti-state elements, and demonstrating discipline, dedication and professionalism.
The awards were presented by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed at a ceremony held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.
Those receiving certificates and cash rewards included DSP Pushtakhara Circle Umar Afridi, SHOs Rizwan Barki and Taimur Saleem, Head Clerk Sajjad Ali Khan, ASIs Hanif Khan, Naseem Khan, Mudararullah, Israr and Azam Khan, Junior Clerk Mujtaba Amir and Khalid Khan.
Police personnel Farman, Asim Khan, Mansoor Khan, Jamal, Wisal, Ayub Khan, Sajid, Adil Raza, Arshad Khan, Mustajab, Mohammad Mubeen, Noorul Amin, Mohammad Usman and Mohammad Anas were also among those rewarded.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Ahmed said the system of reward and accountability in the police department would continue with complete transparency and without discrimination.
He said officers and personnel demonstrating outstanding performance were a valuable asset to the police force and their encouragement was essential for institutional improvement, staff welfare, promotion of professional standards and strengthening public trust.
