PESHAWAR
Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani on Thursday approved the appointment of Dr Habib Orakzai for the period of three years as the new chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The decision was taken in a special general body meeting of Pakistan Red Crescent PRC KP which was chaired by Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani at Governor House Peshawar.
The meeting also approved Lieutenant General (retd) Hamid Khan’s resignation as Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent KP chapter due to personal commitments, said a handout.
The meeting also approved the appointment of three new members of the Pakistan Red Crescent KP managing board including the station commander Peshawar, secretary health and Meena Khan Afridi.
Moreover, the meeting also accorded approval to 11 board members of Pakistan Red Crescent.
Acting Chairperson PRC-KP Ezra Jamshed thanked Acting Governor KP and Principal Secretary to the Governor for their cooperation and assistance with the PRC.
On this occasion, Mshtaq Ahmed Ghani, said that the services of PRC for the uplift of humanity were commendable, adding that it had always backed government society in the testing times.
