PESHAWAR
Acting Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushta Ahmad Ghani said on Tuesday that the University of Haripur was one of the best universities of the province, adding that the provincial government has diverted its focus to maximize the scope of research at public sector universities.
Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani expressed these views in a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor University of Haripur Dr Shafiqur Rehman at Governor House Peshawar.
In the meeting, the overall performance of the university and the improvement of educational standards were also discussed.
On this occasion, Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani termed the overall performance of the university satisfactory.
The university has a special focus on research and additional degree programs should be started at the university to make its standard par with the international educational institutions, he added.
