PESHAWAR
Dengue cases continue to surge across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the provincial capital Peshawar, as hospitals report an increasing number of patients.
According to the latest report from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department on Thursday, the number of active dengue cases in the province has reached 268.
During the past 24 hours, 38 new dengue cases have been confirmed, bringing the total number of reported cases this year to 3,830. The report states that 54 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals across the province.
So far, two deaths have been reported due to dengue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year. A total of 1,582 patients have been admitted to hospitals since the beginning of the outbreak, while 3,560 patients have successfully recovered.
Health authorities have urged the public to take preventive measures, such as avoiding stagnant water, using mosquito repellents, and ensuring cleanliness to curb the spread of dengue.
