NOWSHERA: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sara Tawab conducted a surprise visit to markets in Risalpur Cantt and adjoining areas to review implementation of the official price list and ensure compliance by shopkeepers. During the visit, the ADC inspected various shops and checked prices of essential food items, overall cleanliness and the display of government-notified rate lists. Shopkeepers were directed to strictly follow the official prices and ensure the availability of quality items to consumers at fixed rates. Several shopkeepers were issued warnings for failing to prominently display the official rate lists. They were cautioned that strict legal action would be taken in case of repeated violations. The district administration reiterated that providing relief to the public remains its top priority, adding that profiteering, hoarding and overcharging would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
