Addetional Station House Officer (SHO) embraced Shahadat when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the Mosque in the jurisdiction of police station, Ali Masjid on Tuesday evening.
On the information of locals of presence of two suspected persons, additional SHO, Adnan Afridi along with few colleagues arrived at the site and cautioned the suspected ones, locals and police official said.
One was arrested while another took refuge in the nearby newly constructed Mosque who was chased by the police officer. During confrontation, the suicide detonated himself.
Resultedly Additional SHO Adnan Afridi was Martyred.
Soon after the event, reinforcements of police force reached the site and cordoned off the whole area.
Rescue 1122 shifted the body to the nearest health center for medico-legal formalities, the official said.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was recalled to clear the site,police said.
According to the police official one suspected person was apprehended from the spot and was shifted to an unknown destination for interrogation.
It is to be worth mentioning here that last Thursday four police officials embraced Shahadat in suicide attack in tehsil compound building in Bara.
