KHYBER AGENCY: the political administration at Torkham border claimed to have shot injured a man and nine other were held while trying to enter Pakistan illegally from Afghanistan, Daily times learnt.
Ali Gaza, senior muharar at Torkham border told this scribe by phone on Tuesday that some suspects were trying to enter Pakistan via Jumage, Uncommon route area, with out any legal documents at late Monday night.
The Khassadar force personnel deployed near the route, signalled them to stop but they tried their best to decamp from the spot, Ali Raza stated.
He said that as a result, the Khassadars opened indiscriminate firing on them.
He added that one of the Afghan migrants sustained bullet injuried on his leg while nine other were arrested who were trying to cross the border illegally in the darkness of the night.
The injured person was shifted to the hospital in Landikotal for medical treatment while the other were put behind the bars in Landikotal.
