Ali Shahzad assumes Charge as Chief of RPS Commission

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Ali Shahzad, a retired bureaucrat, has formally assumed charge as the Chief Commissioner of the Right to Public Services (RTPS) Commission, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a handout said. A ceremony was held to mark the occasion, attended by officers and officials of the commission. In his address, Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Shahzad reiterated his commitment to strengthening public service delivery across the province. He emphasized that ensuring timely, effective, and transparent public services to every citizen remains a top priority of the commission. Highlighting the key role of the RTPS Commission in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance, Shahzad presented a vision focused on digital innovation, capacity building, and enhanced coordination with service delivery departments. “Our top priority is that every citizen of KP receives timely, effective, and transparent public services as a fundamental right,” he stated. “We are committed to removing bureaucratic bottlenecks, ensuring prompt grievance redressal, and empowering citizens to voice their rights.” The Chief Commissioner also outlined proposed reforms aimed at improving monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
