Fire broke out at 132 KV Jahangira Grid Station the other day damaging Incoming, Out Going breakers and Power cables. Due to this power supply to 11 KV Jalbai, Kushhal Khan Khattak, MianEasa, Leathergentry, Sheet Glass, PTC and Jahangira Town has been suspended.
Beside these damages power cables of Power Transformer T-1 and T-3 also burnt, resultantly power supply from 11 KV Kheirabad,New Kherabad,Akora-1,Akora-2,Tubewell,New Thordher,SCC,Attock feeders suspended. Due to fire incident at Jahangira grid station Pesco faces a loss of Rs.4 to 5 cores approximately.
CEO Pesco Engineer ShabirAhamd rushed to the site immediately after the fire incident.CEO directed the technical teams already engaged in other parts of the province to immediately reached the Jahangira Grid and start the rehabilitationwork.
CEO personally supervised the whole rehabilitation process and issued necessary instructions to the rehabilitation teams in this regard. Rehabilitation work was carried out on emergent basis day &night.Due to hectic efforts of Pescoworkers.
, One power transformer has been energized and the electricity supply to 11 KV Akora,Akora-2,Khairabad,new khairabad and tube well feedersrestored, while power supply from other affected feeders were restored for short times. It is hoped that Power supply will be restored to these affected feeders on permanent basis by tomorrow morning.
The damages were so huge that in normal conditions it will take several weeks but due to Ramadan and difficulties faced by the inhabitants of the affected areas the job will be complete within two days only.
Pesco hailed the cooperation of the public of the affected areas and once again appealed to the people to extend their cooperation in further restoration of power supply to other affected areas.
