On the directives of the Govt of Sindh, district authorities have launched a campaign to keep check on prices of essential commodities in holy month of Ramazan.
On the Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner Badin, Dr. Hafeez Ahmed Siyal along with his team carried out surprise visit of Badin, Golarchi and others towns and nabbed two shopkeepers on the charges of selling substandard goods and imposed over Rs. 5000 fines each on the profiteers against violating the Ramazan ordinance during the holy month of Ramazan and issued directives to send involved accused to the confinement.
Siyal expressed his anguish over the Taluka administration and directed them to keep check on prices of essential commodities in holy month of Ramazan.
He directed to Assistant commissioners to inspect various shops of fruits, meats, vegetables and others regularly and ensure that shopkeepers were selling out the all commodities on official controlled prices.
While talking with media, Deputy Commissioner Badin, Dr. Hafeez Ahmed Siyal expressed that fewer elements have intentionally created the inflation like situation by selling their goods on the high prices.
Those who were found in violating the price control list, stern action would be taken against them, he added.
