Christian community enjoys equal rights in KP: Saif

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif has extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community, highlighting the message of peace, love, and brotherhood associated with the occasion. In his message, Saif emphasized that the teachings of Jesus Christ focus on peace, justice, and selfless service to humanity. To mark the festive occasion, the KP government has allocated Rs 40 million as a Christmas gift to 80 churches across the province, he said. In addition, advance salaries have been provided to Christian government employees, reflecting the government’s commitment to the community. Mr Saif reaffirmed that the Christian community in KP enjoys equal rights and opportunities. He further noted that the true spirit of Christmas lies in supporting the needy and the weak, stressing that sharing happiness with others only serves to multiply it. DLP Report
