City traffic police devises special traffic plan

City Traffic Police Peshawar has increased its operational force to manage the flow of traffic in the remaining days of the holy month of Ramadan.
This was disclosed in a high-level meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Qamar Hayat Khan on the traffic control during Ramadan.
SP Headquarters Tayyab Jan, SP Cantt Inayat Ali, SP City Muhammad Saeed, DS Traffic officers and traffic wardens attended the meeting.
The forum devised a comprehensive plan for the second decade of Ramadan, under which traffic officers and officials will perform their duties till late night.
1035 Wardens including 13 DSPs will be on duty while 18 forklifts will be on duty, it added.
To control traffic, officers and personnel have been assigned their respective responsibilities in different sectors across the city and after Iftar and after that they will be deployed across the city.
Qamar Hayat Khan directed the traffic authorities to ensure the complete implementation of the traffic plan to control traffic management in Ramadan.
He further said that he will self-monitor the traffic system in Ramadan and in this regard, he will also visit the city at different times and review the traffic system.
The meeting decided that DSPs should remain present in their sectors and use all their capacities to ensure the flow of traffic and to increase the number of personnel at high rush areas so that there are no complaints of traffic jams.
Similarly, action would be taken against the encroachment mafia throughout the city so that the citizens do not face any difficulties while shopping and the traffic authorities should ensure the flow of traffic in the city and surrounding areas during the school holidays.
