CHITRAL
Takal Welfare Organization, with the financial support of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), commemorated Pakistan’s Independence Day at TMA Hall in Drosh, Lower Chitral.
This vibrant event was held in partnership with the Tehsil Municipal Administration, the Forest Department, and the Agriculture Extension Department of Lower Chitral.
The Sub-Divisional Forest Officer (SDFO), Mr. Umair Nawaz, served as the chief guest, accompanied by the Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO), Karim Ullah.
Among the distinguished guests were Sub-Division Police Officer (SDPO) Iqbal Kareem, Razitu Billah, Traffic Police inspectors, as well as numerous social and political activists from Drosh. Leaders of village councils, youth, women activists, and members of the Takal Welfare Organization were also in attendance.
The celebration commenced with a recitation, followed by the national anthem. The event featured speeches from various esteemed guests and a concluding address by the chief guest.
A highlight of the festivities was the ‘Walk and Plantation Drive,’ promoting a clean and green environment.
The day was further enriched by performances of Chitral folk music, adding a vibrant and colorful dimension to the occasion.
