Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Monday inaugurated online tax and motor vehicle registration systems.
He termed the move a significant milestone in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s digitization journey.
The Chief Minister praised the Excise Department’s efforts and committed to providing necessary resources for effective narcotics control.
Addressing the event, Gandapur emphasized the importance of digitization for good governance, transparency, and better public services.
He said that the online systems will facilitate taxpayers and vehicle owners, saving time and resources.
Besides the online payment of registration fees, the newly installed system will have the facilities of online tax calculator and payment, digital property tax records, universal vehicle number plate system, mobile and web-based vehicle registration and renewal.
Gandapur highlighted the provincial government’s progress in increasing revenue by 40 percent and its vision to make KP financially self-sufficient.
According to the officials, the Public Facilitation Module is a convenient online platform designed to provide taxpayers with easy access to their tax records.
This module consists of two components including Android App, a mobile application for Android devices, allowing taxpayers to access their tax records on-the-go.
Web Module is a web-based platform, accessible from any device with an internet connection, providing taxpayers with a secure and user-friendly interface to view their tax records.
With the Public Facilitation Module, taxpayers can now access their tax records from anywhere, at any time, making it easier to stay informed and manage their tax obligations, they added.
