Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the suicide blast at an Imambargah in the Tarlai area of Islamabad, terming the attack on a place of worship a cowardly and inhumane act.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Chief Minister said that targeting worshippers was the worst example of enmity against humanity and has no place in any religion or society. He expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of innocent lives in the tragic incident.
Mr Afridi extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast. He said the provincial government stands shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved families in this hour of grief and shares their sorrow.
CM KP reaffirmed the resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and emphasized that such heinous acts cannot weaken the nation’s commitment to peace and harmony.
