Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has rejected PTI founder Imran Khan plea in connection with his medical treatment by his personal physicians.
Following the completion of hearing of Imran Khan plea seeking court’s order for his medical checkup by his personal physicians the Judgment was reserved.
Judge Syed Amjid Ali Shah of ATC heard the petition.
The petition said that medical check up of Imran Khan be got conducted by his personal physicians including Dr Asim, Dr Khurram and Dr Samina.
It was said in the arguments medical check up by personal physicians is legal, constitutional and moral right. Personal physicians were available to former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.
Under Rawalpindi jail rule 795, administration is bound to inform the family in respect of medical check up of all kinds.
After hearing , defence counsel Faisal Malik said Imran Khan is a former prime minister and national hero. It is his basic right.
According to Faisal Malik, Superintendent Adiala jail has not filed medical report and he told court the treatment of Imran Khan is underway.
Later judge Amjid Mehmood of ATC Rawalpindi announced reserved judgment.
The court rejected Imran Khan plea in connection with his medical treatment by his personal physicians.
According to court proper treatment of accused Imran Khan is continuing under jail rules.
