Civilians can be tried in military courts: Law minister Azam Nazir Tarar

Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has said missing persons issue is not only in Pakistan but also in the entire world.
According to law the civilian can be tried in military court, he said this while addressing Asma Jahangir conference here Saturday.
“I am too part of judicial commission in the matter of missing persons. We are working seriously. We have done much work on missing persons matter. Commission was too constituted. A relief package was introduced for missing persons.
He indicated most of the persons among those who are killed in terror related incidents are missing persons. New committee will place more focus on missing persons related matters.
Government has done too much work for stopping blasphemy on social media.
Due to government measures blasphemy cases declined. We are trying to rectify things more.
We are legislating on domestic violence. Law has been enforced to the extent of Islamabad. Difference does not mean fight but it is beauty of civilized society. I have been too much criticized in connection with constitutional amendment. Today there is opportunity for me to put my defence before you.
Such incidents took place in the past that the Supreme Court (SC) played out of crease. SC endorsed death sentence of one prime minister.
Whatever happens, it is established thing that parliament which is representative of 220 million people is authorized to legislate. 17 non elected judges have no powers to abolish legislation by parliament.
We have improved the process of transfer of judges. Constitutional court has started its work.
Former chairman Senate Raza Rabbani said several unnecessary amendments have been made in the constitution.
He said presence of law minister in judicial commission is unnecessary.
There is no need of 28th amendment in the constitution. If 28th amendment is made then the structure of the constitution will be further affected.
Former member judicial commission and member Pakistan Bar council Akhtar Hussain said where is democracy today. Judiciary is independent where. Is parliament independent. Is there democracy.
How the judiciary will be independent when you appoint judge of constitutional court as per will of Prime Minister.
He said over 250 million children are out of schools. Has any legislation been enacted in this regard.
