CS-KP visits flood-affected areas in Chitral

Directs district admin to restore links roads within 2 days, distributed relief checks to affected families

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry visited flood-affected areas in Upper and Lower Chitral to assess damage and oversee relief efforts, said an official handout.
Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry directed district administrations and relief departments to restore links roads within two days and utilize all resources for rehabilitation.
He distributed relief checks to affected families and praised the provincial government and district administrations’ performance.
During his visit, Chaudhry inspected affected areas, met with locals, and chaired a meeting in the Lower Chitral DC conference room. He emphasized the need to expedite restoration work and use all available resources to restore connectivity and rehabilitate affected people.
While presiding over the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the district administration of Lower Chitral and the relief department should restore all the connecting roads and open them for traffic within two days.
He also directed to speed up the work on restoration works and use all our energy and capabilities to restore it as soon as possible.
CS-KP also distributed checks of Rs 6 million among the owners of 30 completely destroyed houses in the district.
On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Soraya Bibi, Member Provincial Assembly Fateh Mulk Ali Nasir, IG Police KP Akhtar Hayat Khan and secretaries of various departments were also with him.
