MARDAN: The district administration has decided to purchase wheat from local farmers and stop purchasing wheat from Punjab and suppliers. In this connection deputy Commissioner Fayaz Khan Sherpho issued a later No. 5212 on 27/05/2024. It was stated in the later that whereas the District Food Controller Mardan vide letter No. 192/DFC/MDN, dated 27.05.2024 intimated that government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Department has assigned a target of 30,000 M.T of wheat procurement to District Mardan and as of now 15549.320 M.T wheat has been procured and 300 plus vehicles are at row outside of the warehouse which are sufficient to meet the remaining target. Therefore, requested that further entry of wheat loaded vehicles may be banned except local sellers having proof/fard so that heavy traffic rush may be managed. Therefore, vehicles coming from Punjab are hereby completely banned and only local wheat vehicles are allowed. Falak Sher
