Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, along with District Police Officer (DPO) Lakki Marwat Nazir Khan, paid a detailed visit to border check-posts along the Punjab province, including Darra Tang and other key locations.
During the visit, the DIG reviewed security arrangements, met with police personnel, and directed officials to further strengthen checking and patrolling in the sensitive areas.
Later, a flag staff meeting was convened, attended by RPO Sargodha, DPO Dera Ismail Khan, and DPO Mianwali. The meeting discussed security challenges in border areas, with particular focus on safeguarding the CPEC route and motorway. Participants also emphasized adopting a joint strategy to curb inter-provincial smuggling and crime.
DIG Sajjad Khan reiterated that the police force remains on high alert and said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is their foremost priority.
