District Police Officer (DPO) Waqar Ahmed carried out a detailed visit to the Warsak Canal and Zaga Tunnel to assess the security situation in light of current circumstances.
During the visit, he met with foreign engineers working at the site and personally reviewed the existing security arrangements.
While conducting an in-depth inspection, the DPO instructed the deployed officers to maintain constant vigilance and ensure full compliance with all prescribed security protocols.
He emphasized the importance of alertness, timely response, and strict adherence to duty rosters and attendance guidelines.
The primary objective of the visit was to enhance the security of foreign engineers, boost the morale of security personnel, and further strengthen protective measures at the site.
DPO Waqar Ahmed also directed the staff posted at various checkpoints to strictly follow safety regulations, including the use of helmets, jackets, and other protective gear, to ensure their own safety while on duty.
