ISLAMABAD
Election Commission (EC) has issued SOPs for media and observers in connection with general election.
The accreditation cards for observers have been linked to security clearance.
According to documents, EC meeting was held on the matter of accreditation cards for observers and foreign observers Saturday.
Focal persons of EC,NAB, FIA, FBR and others attended the meeting.
Final shape was given to SOPs for observers and foreign observers and media in the meeting.
It has been said in the documents open door policy is kept for Pakistani and foreign observers.
No accreditation card will be issued to those having political affiliation.
The accreditation card for observers has been linked to security clearance.
The observers will file report on irregularities with EC after polling day.
The accreditation cards holders will be allowed to go polling stations , preparation of result and offices of returning officers.
EC will be authorized to cancel accreditation card of any observer.
EC has issued affidavit for observers. The observers will not be able to get accreditation card without filing affidavit.
