Former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has resorted to Supreme Court (SC) against physical remand. Pervaiz Elahi has filed appeal against the decisions of High court and sessions regarding his physical remand.
Aamir Saeed Ran filed appeal plea in SC on behalf of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. The petitioner has taken plea that judicial magistrate discharged him from the case of anti corruption department Punjab.
The magistrate rejected the plea for physical remand. Sessions judge and Lahore High Court gave the decision of physical remand in appeal. Physical remand runs contrary to the fundamental rights. There is threat of mental torture and life threat due to physical remand.
The SC is requested to nullify the decision of physical remand.
