Election Commission (EC) while rejecting federal minister Azam Swati plea for giving him more time has ordered him to appear before it in person on October 26.
An EC bench comprising members election commission Nisar Durrani and Shah Muhammad Jatoi took up for hearing the case pertaining to allegations leveled by Azam Swati against EC.
Tanvir junior lawyer to Azam Swati counsel appeared before the commission and told chaudhry Faisal counsel for Azam Swati is pre-occupied in Supreme Court (SC) and he will give reply to the notice of EC.
Member EC Shah Muhammad Jatoi inquired have you not got briefing from your senior lawyer on the case. Have you not read the notice. Through the notice the federal minister has been ordered to appear before the EC in person.
Member EC Nisar Durrani said the problem will not be resolved by giving power of attorney.
