Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has said that providing the youth with modern technology, digital skills, and facilities of international standard will transform Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a modern, transparent, and fully digital province.
He expressed these views while inaugurating a state-of-the-art computer lab at FIMS College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Dargai, Malakand, where Apple iMac systems have been installed. As the chief guest, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said this facility will enable students to gain not only advanced computer education and research opportunities but also practical exposure to innovation, digital markets, and emerging technologies.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz further stated that PTI founder Imran Khan’s vision has always been to create such opportunities for youth where they are not merely job seekers but become job creators. Taking this vision forward, chief minister has made it clear that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will lead other provinces of Pakistan in the field of technology and digital transformation.
He said that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to developing the Science and IT sector to bring transparency, quality, and efficiency across education, health, employment, and governance. Initiatives like e-Governance, e-Learning, skill development, IT Zones, and modern digital projects are the living examples of this vision in practice.
Highlighting the potential of youth, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said that the young people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are second to none in talent, intelligence, and hard work. The only requirement is to provide them with access to modern facilities and global-standard technology. Such initiatives will not only improve the quality of education in the province but also lay the foundation for a brighter future for Pakistan.
In conclusion, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said that the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will secure their place in the digital world and play a vital role in turning the dream of “Digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” into a reality.
