Faiq demands to conduct training for police on modern lines

Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has stressed it is imperative to upgrade police department on modern lines. He also called for initiatives to make police public-friendly across the country.
Faiq was addressing an open forum “Kuli Kacheri’ here on Monday emphasized the need of training for police forces in Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to build up their capacity on modern lines.
Furthermore, he suggested a holistic policy should be framed on state responsibilities and friendly policing so that everyone would get timely justice, protection and stability.
He noted people have been frustrated with ‘Thana Culture’ primitive policing system, pressure of police force and irresponsibility.
Shah made it clear that tangible results won’t be produced until conduct training in the police force in an impartial and transparent manner, stressing it is essential to give priority to state responsibilities, delivering justice to people and protection.
The ATP chairman asked elders and eminent people to constitute a board of wisdom and honesty for check and balance in their respective areas in which representation of people from the union council to all segments, which could monitor and close watch on police stations, schools and other public sector institutions.
Faiq said the people who have damaged the nation should be exposed with full honesty in order to hold accurate public accountability.
He added people would get authorities and they would establish a check and balance system in their respective localities.
