Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has said the dropping bomb on poverty stricken people in shape of increase in fuel prices is highly deplorable and rejected it, asked the government to revise its decision in best interest of the poor masses.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Faiq Shah said the hike will bring a fresh wave of inflation that would definitely hit the downtrodden segment of the society. As the incumbent government almost completed its two years, now it hasn’t deserved any amnesty, the ATP chief said.
Food inflation has already skyrocketed while dropping a bomb in the form of increase of petrol and LPG prices further push the price up that could be directly affecting the people already living below the poverty line in the country, Faiq Shah said.
Amid the increasing gas crisis in the country, the party leader termed the surge in LPG price, which a main utility of every household, especially the poor masses was completely reprehensible, unjustifiable and incomprehensible.
“We will soon launch an organized agitation movement against the increasing ‘price-hike’, unemployment and anti-masses policies of the government, the ATP chief announced, vowing that that the untiring and relentless struggle would be launched against ignorance, injustice, and inflation.
Criticizing that the powerful mafia had made Pakistan as a slave state, Faiq Shah said that the government has become helpless and toothless before the mafia, as it is continuously carrying out exploitation of the poor masses owing to unchecked by the authorities concerned.
The ATP chairman expressed regret that the government has no power to catch up this mafia, reaffirming his commitment, Mr Shah said that his party will become the voice of the people of Pakistan and jointly protest with them against policies of the incumbent government.
The increase in POL and LPG prices with the advent of New Year is completely unfair and unjust with poor masses now the government isn’t deserved for any amnesty as the inflation is intolerable. We will launch a country-wide agitation campaign against the increasing price-hike, Faiq Shah said.
