Former federal minister and PTI leader Faisal Vawda Thursday appeared before the NAB in Islamabad in the case of funds misappropriation.
The NAB had summoned Faisal Vawda as part of the investigation into the misappropriation of funds from the United Kingdom (UK). It is to be noted here that the NAB is carrying out an inquiry against Shahzad Akbar and other PTI leaders.
Later, while talking to media, Faisal Vawda said that he had said Arshad Sharif’s assassination was planned in Pakistan. “I had said that there will be blood in the long march. What was wrong in that?” he added.
“I was summoned for investigation into funds that came from London,” he stated. “Shireen Mazari and I had raised questions on this whole matter in the cabinet. I think Fawad Chaudhry had also raised the question,” he maintained.
“Barrister Shahzad Akbar gave a briefing on this issue. I had an argument with Shahzad Akbar,” he added. “Pakistan’s exchequer suffered a loss of 190 million pounds. I had told Imran Khan about Shahzad Akbar that he will go abroad,” he stated.
