Taftan: The Federal Investigation Agency, Immigration authorities at Taftan successfully intercepted a passenger attempting to enter Pakistan from Iran using a forged travel document. The accused, a resident of Orakzai, arrived at FIA Immigration Taftan for entry into Pakistan. During the immigration clearance process, he presented a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) to the authorities. Upon thorough scrutiny using advanced immigration verification systems, the passport was found to be fake and forged. Acting promptly, FIA officials took the individual into custody. Following initial verification, the accused was shifted to the FIA Anti Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Taftan for further legal proceedings. After completion of preliminary interrogation and inquiry, a formal First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at FIA AHTC Taftan under relevant legal provisions. The accused remains in custody, and further investigation is underway under the supervision of Investigation Officer Hanooq Arif. Staff Reporter
