PESHAWAR; Unknown armed attackers opened indiscriminate fire on a passenger vehicle in Tank district on Thursday, killing the driver and injuring five passengers, police said. The incident occurred near Garah Pathar on Wana Road within the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station. The vehicle was traveling from Dera Ismail Khan to Wana when it came under attack. The driver died on the spot, while five people sustained injuries in the firing. Local residents immediately shifted the body and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment. Following the incident, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Tank visited the hospital, met the injured victims and directed doctors to provide the best possible medical care. Meanwhile, heavy contingents of police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers. APP
