Four youth die in traffic incident in Jamrud

Four youths of the same family of Nai Abadi, Ghundi village passed away and one sustained injuries when a speeded car collided with the opposite side truck here in Jamrud Bazaar on Saturday mid night, police and local sources said.
They said that the deceased along with the bridegroom were returning back from the saloon near 02:00 am,a wee hour of Sunday when they faced the tragic mishap near Bab-e-Khyber, Pak-Afghan main highway, police said.
The late youths were identified as Zarar, Daud, Sohail and Mansoor while the injured was known as Nauman Khan who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) of the hospital in Peshawar due to precarious condition, health officials said.
Soon after an incident police and Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site, retrieved the bodies and the injured, transported them to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities, police and Rescue officials said.
Later on Sunday at 11:00 am collected funeral prayer of the four deceased youth were offered in Tedi Bazaar, Jamrud that was attended by a large number of people.
Moving scenes were witnessed on the occasion as the heartbreaking event saddened the whole district Khyber.
