Gender protection unit inaugurated at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Ijaz Khan on Tuesday inaugurated new building of Gender Protection Unit at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line Peshawar.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the representatives of civil society.
Speaking on this occasion, CCPO Peshawar that police department has made available all its resources to resolve the issues of public and special attention has made to help out women in the time of need.
He said special services were being provided by the Peshawar Police to ensure timely delivery of justice to women and address their issues on priority basis.
Appropriate representation has also been provided in DRC councils, including Paul Centers, to provide immediate legal assistance to women seeking justice and women facing any domestic or private issues, he added.
Muhammad Ijaz Khan hoped that the construction of the new building would further enhance the performance of not only the Gender Protection Unit personnel but also the women police.
He also welcomed the establishment of day care center in the new building.
It should be noted that the new building has other offices including SHO Women Police Station Office, Muharram Office, Residential Barracks and Day Care Center for Infants.
