PESHAWAR
An illegal factory involved in producing substandard and unhealthy juice has been sealed in Mardan on Wednesday. According to the Halal Food Authority a raid was carried out on Shamsi Road, during which 800 liters of hazardous liquid were destroyed on the spot. During the operation, officials also recovered mislabelled packaging material and chemical drums from the factory. The authorities stated that the factory was operating without any legal license and the harmful chemicals found there were declared a serious threat to human health. The factory owner has been summoned to the Food Safety Office for further investigation. Food Safety officials emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against anyone endangering public health.
