IAP delegation apprises IGP KP about industrialists’ issues

A delegation of businessmen led by Industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP) president Malik Imran Ishaq held a meeting with Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat and apprised the provincial police chief about industrialists’ issues.
The IAP delegation comprised on Group leader Ghazanfar Bilour, Vice President Ghulam Mohiy-ud-Din, Secretary General, and Executive Members IAP Riaz Arshad, Adeel Rauf, Malik Niaz and Ahmed Mustafa and members, said a press release here on Thursday.
IAP president Malik Imran Ishaq and IGP KP Akthar Hayat discussed in detail matters relating to protection and provision of a peaceful atmosphere to the business community and industrialists.
During the meeting, IGP KP gave much importance to taking measures for security and protection in Industrial Estate Hayatabad Peshawar, assuring he will personally build and carry liaison with the business community.
The provincial police chief said Industrial estate is to be considered as a specialized area where presence, vigilance and patrolling of police shall be ensured with modern policing tools.
The IGP directed police officials to revisit the final proposal of a dedicated police station for the Industrial estate for approval of finance and resources from the government.
IAP to also augment the case and engage with the government, the release said.
According to the press release, IGP convinced and asked the Chief Secretary to resolve issues in construction of a security wall along western border of the industrial estate and to engage with and build synergy between LEAs and KPEZDMC for timely execution of the project.
The IGP directed his staff to immediately increase police force in the industrial estate police post and for deputation on barriers.
Earlier, IAP president Malik Imran Ishaq speaking on the occasion lauded former CCPO Muhammad Ejaz Khan and former SP Cantt Muhammad Azhar Khan for their tireless efforts toward resolution of industrialists’ issues and building of close liaison with the business community.
Ishaq said former CCPO had played a pivotal role in framing proposals with close coordination of IAP for establishment of a police state in the industrial estate Hayatabad Peshawar.
Essentially, the IAP president said as a result of former CCPO timely actions, the serious security issues like rocket attacks on Industrial Estate Hayatabad Peshawar, ransom and snatching etc were eliminated.
Ghazanfar Bilour also lauded former CCPO Ejaz Khan and former SP Cantt Muhammad Azhar Khan efforts toward resolution of business community issues.
He said former CCPO had visited the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and played an important role in resolving traders’ issues as a result of that the business community provided instant relief.
IAP president Malik Imran Ishaq also praised heap on IGP for taking keen interest in industrialists’ issues and issuing of instructions on the spot for their amicable resolution, especially it is highly worthy that IGP assured to personally build up liaison with the business community.
