ISLAMABAD : Islamabad High Court (IHC) has remarked if Holy wood makes any film on terrorists it is made on Pakistan.
The IHC bench led by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani took up for hearing the case on non shifting the international drug trafficker Ibrahim to Thailand Friday. He is imprisoned in Pakistan.
The court while expressing annoyance over interior ministry for not shifting international drug trafficker Ibrahim to Thailand remarked if the matter is not decided till next hearing then we will summon interior secretary, call Ibrahim from jail and send him with interior secretary. It is upto Secretary interior to take him to home or somewhere else as per his will.
The court remarked Now Ibrahim will not remain in jail any more. The decision was given in 2016 and it has not been implemented so far. Ibrahim will complete his jail term of 35 years in Thailand and not in Pakistan.
FIA personal told the court “we are ready to send Ibrahim abroad. The issue is of documents.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked “ Thailand even does not accept Ibrahim as its citizen. There are countless persons in Pakistan who prepare fake documents. If Hollywood makes any film on terrorists now then it is on Pakistan.
He further observed “ do one thing that give identity card to Ibrahim so that he keeps on selling heroin here.
The court directed that the officer whosoever deals with Thailand should appear before it.
The court had ordered to deport Myanmar citizen Ibrahim. He was convicted and sentenced to 35 years imprisonment in Thailand on the charges of drug trafficking. He was arrested on his arrival in Pakistan.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till one week.
