IHC seeks in-camera briefing in missing persons cases

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought in-camera briefing in missing persons cases. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has issued written order to hear case related to recovery of Omar Abdullah. According to it federal government was directed by the court that policy for paying compensation to families effected in enforced disappearances be worked out. Interior ministry has constituted a committee for its implementation. As per orders the court was told compensation was paid to the petitioner Zainab Zaeem which was transferred to her bank account directly. The court directed that the petitioner should inform the court on next hearing regarding confirmation to the effect the amount has been received. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till October 6. Online
