ISLAMABAD
The court has adjourned indictment of former interior minister Sheikh Rashid till April 14 in controversial statement against f Asif Ali Zardari case. Sheikh Rashid appeared in the court of judicial magistrate Abbas Shah in the case of controversial statement against Zardari Tuesday. The court had summoned Rashid for indictment on Tuesday. Rashid did not appear in the court during previous hearing being unwell. During the hearing of the case in district and sessions judge court Islamabad, Judicial magistrate Abbas Shah questioned has the challan in the case against Sheikh Rashid come.
Prosecutor replied the challan of the case against Sheikh Rashid has been filed in the court.
Sheikh Rashid told the court his counsel is in Supreme Court (SC) at present and he cannot appear in the court today.
He told the court he had filed petition for quashment of this case.
Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah allowed Sheikh Rashid to go after marking his attendance.
Sheikh Rashid could not be indicted today being engagement of his counsel in supreme court.
The court adjourned the indictment proceedings in respect of Sheikh Rashid till April 14.
