Interim bail of Omar Ayub, Asad Umar, Azam Swati extended

LAHORE: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended interim bail of PTI leaders Omar Ayub , Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar and Azam Swati till June 16 in different May 9 related cases. The court extended interim bail of opposition leader Omar Ayub, Fawad Chaudhry and others till June 16 in May 9 related 6 cases including setting on fire PML-N office and container at Kalma Chowk. The court got completed attendance from Fawad Chaudhry, Alim Imtiaz, Karamat Khokhar and others. Aleema Khanum, sister of PTI founder did not appear in the court. The counsel filed exemption plea for one day in respect of Aleema Khanum. One day exemption plea of Omar Ayub was also filed. The counsel told the court Omar Ayub is admitted in hospital therefore he cannot appear in the court. Judge Arshid Javed of ATC summoned counsels of the accused persons on next hearing for final arguments on bail pleas. The other accused appeared in the court on expiry of period of interim bail. Investigation officers of JIT presented investigation report where in Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and other all accused have been declared guilty. Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Hafiz Farhat Abbas, Bilal Ejaz, Hassan Nawaz, Ali Imtiaz Warraich, Muhammad Ahmad Chatha, Muhammad Ashraf Sohna and others have already filed interim bail pleas. This court extended interim bail of Asad Umar till June 16 in Jinnah House, Askari Tower attack and Torching Shadman police station cases. The court has kept restored old surety bonds of Asad Umar in all the three cases. The court has extended interim bail of PTI leader Azam Swati till June 16 in 4 siege and arson cases including Lahore Jinnah House. ONLINE
