Emerging actress Hania Ahmed, who is currently winning hearts as Shafaq in the drama serial Jama Taqseem, has shared intriguing details about her acting journey, family life, and thoughts on parenting during an interview with Fuchsia Magazine.
Hania, who began her career at the age of ten, has appeared in several commercials and dramas, including Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. The young actress, currently an O-Level student, revealed that she aspires to become an engineer alongside pursuing her passion for acting.
Speaking about her inspiration for Jama Taqseem, Hania said her mother encouraged her to study Saba Qamar’s iconic role in Maat. “I watched it in a day and observed her expressions. I also took inspiration from Madiha Rizvi, who is playing my mother in the drama,” she shared, adding that she tried to align her performance with the director’s vision on set.
Discussing her experience of living in a joint family, Hania said she enjoys the setup and finds both joint and separate family systems equally comfortable. “We live with my grandmother and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. There are no strict restrictions — my grandparents are really chill and open-minded,” she added.
Touching upon the communication gap between parents and children, Hania emphasized the importance of understanding and mutual respect.
“Parents should be more patient and give space to their children. When kids open up, they should be heard, not scolded,” she remarked, noting that her own relationship with her parents is open and friendly.
