Political agent of Khyber Agency political agent inaugurated the long awaited Christian colony in Landikotal which be completed in one year.
A ceremony was arranged in Landikotal which attended by a score of Christian community members, civil servant and tribal elders.
Political agent Captain(R) Khalid Mehmood laid the foundation stone of the colony..
Speaking on the occasion PA Khalid Mehmood said that he was happy today that a long awaited dream of Christian community comes true by his hands. He said the government gave preference to the minorities so that they live peaceful and prosperous life in Pakistan. He said the project was designed to provide basic life facilities to the inmates.
The Khalid said 21 houses would be constructed which would cost 32 million rupees. He added that the houses would be completed in one year and would hand it over to beneficiaries in June 2018.
Christian community elder Malik Wilson Wazir thanked political agent for providing them shelter in Landikotal Wilson Wazir said today an historical day for minorities in Fata who for the first time became the owners of their homes.
